Collections and history of the Italian embassy in London

The Italian embassy at 4 Grosvenor Square was officially inaugurated in April 1934 and is the only building in the entire square to have retained the original late Georgian architecture. This volume traces the political, architectural and artistic history of the embassy and its prestigious art collection. Renewed more than once over the years, the collection, which includes decorative and visual arts, is one of the most beautiful and fascinating in diplomatic premises.
