The complete works of the most famous 20th-century Venetian glass makers
From the late 1940s and throughout the '50s, the enormous success of Venini design was one of the principal reasons for the explosion of international interest in Venetian glass. New techniques with respect to the previous production (from 1925 to the Second World War), positioned the works of Venini among the highest artistic expressions of our times. This volume also includes a section on lighting (lamps and chandeliers), a dictionary of the artists, and the company's three internal working catalogues: the Red Catalogue, the Green Catalogue, and the Blue Catalogue (New: all reproduced in their entivety). These extremely rare documents are indispensable for the historical and technical information they contain, including the design drawings and the instructions for the master glassblowers of Venini in 1:10 scale and in chronological order, accompanied by a description of the technique and the materials used.
